Advance notice and genuine choice on all transitions. Sensory reset access (proprioceptive input, quiet space). Counter-Control framing on all demands. Coupon Economy for motivation—earned for compliance and attempt, never taken away.
Focus: Sensory regulation strategies, coordination for writing, proprioceptive reset. Use Counter-Control language ("In two minutes we're moving to..." + choice). Propose strategies in your session and log IBRST at the end. Any new mechanism needs BCBA approval to lock at Blueprint version.
2 Leo was regulated during proprioceptive activity. Smooth transition to writing with advance notice.
2 Calm start. Used deep-pressure reset before coordination work. He requested timer for task breaks.
Classroom shows higher dysregulation on Thursdays (avg 3.6 vs 2.2 overall) due to assembly schedule changes. Home is consistently calm (1.9 avg). Your OT sessions maintain Level 2 regulation. Pattern suggests: sensory reset in OT is working; Thursday transitions still need Blueprint adjustment.

Leo's Vocabulary Contract · Signed & Active

You and every adult on Leo's team—teacher, aide, OT, SLP, parents—work from the same definitions for these five terms. This prevents miscommunication ("Wait, what do YOU mean by FCT phrase?") and ensures fidelity. Refreshes automatically when the Blueprint changes.

FCT Phrase
"I need a break" is Leo's Functional Communication Training phrase. When he uses it, pause the task immediately, no negotiation. Honor 100%.
Counter-Control
Delivering a demand with advance notice (2–3 min) + a real choice. Example: "In 2 minutes we're moving to math. Do you want to bring a pencil or have me get one?"
Coupon Economy
Leo earns Coupons for compliance, attempt, and recovery. Never taken away (non-aversive). Redeemable for preferred activities (science table, 10 min design).
IBRST Level
1 = Calm, 2 = Slight dysregulation, 3 = Moderate, 4 = High, 5 = Critical (unsafe/shutdown). You rate at end of session. Feeds cross-setting heatmap.
Vicious Cycle
Unannounced demand → Leo's anxiety spikes → refusal → adult insistence → escalation. We break this at the front (advance notice + choice), not the back (forced compliance).
✓ Signed: You acknowledged these terms on Apr 18 at 2:15 PM. Blueprint version: 1.2. Auto-refreshes on next Blueprint update.
